This episode is the second in a series focusing on the ins and outs and the biology of women’s bodies, right down to the most basic, cellular level. This episode shares with you much of the fantastic information in chapter two of Woman: An Intimate Geography – a fabulous and scientific book about what it means to be a woman and/or a female by Natalie Angier. I’ve recently reread this book because it is fantastic! Her second chapter focuses on your genetically dense X chromosome! For example, did you know that:
Your X chromosome is one of the largest in the body?
It holds thousands more genes than the Y chromosome?
Your sons are more genetically similar to you than to their father?
Learn all this and more in this episode, where we check out more about our genes!

I’ve recently reread this book because it is fantastic! Her first chapter focuses on the eggs in your amazing body. For example, did you know that:
You are born with all of the eggs you will ever have?
You are supporting the growth of your daughter’s eggs (your potential grandchildren) while she is still inside you?
Your eggs are the largest humans cells?
Your egg is shaped much like the star of our solar system, the sun?
Learn all this and more in this episode, where we get to the cells of the matter!

This episode is the first in the Inspired by Women Series, which features women or women-centered organizations that represent aspects of womanhood that are inspirational and real! I came across this article online this weekend, and felt like it was the right time to debut this new series. I found the article on MSN (whoa, really?!) and it contained a surprising amount of value! The article, 13 Women Who Changed What It Meant to Be “Beautiful” in 2014, features women who are physically unique in different ways. Each woman represents diversity that is totally represented in the larger population, and although most women that they chose were thin with very beautiful faces, I was still surprised by the range of uniqueness that was featured (i.e. transgender actresses/models, a model with vitiligo, and an older actress). Despite my original skepticism, the article offered more inspiration than frustration (which is hard to find in mainstream articles!).

Have you ever wondered what happens if you sneeze while having sex? Find out in this episode!
This episode is a little bit gross… In a good way! I talk about all of the bodily functions that are bound to show up sometime in your sexual experiences and how funny these situations really can be. Plus, you’ll hear my personal stories about queefing and sneezing during sex… Two of the funniest things ever to happen to me!
Just a brief Thanksgiving thought for you as you spend the holidays eating and maybe even being eaten…
Please remember that you body is wonderful.Yes, wonderful! It works, doesn’t it?
It has sex, babies, goes to the bathroom, and gets you where you need to go.
It feels pain and pleasure and regulates itself without asking permission, takes care of you and supports you whether you feel grateful or not.
So, instead of worrying about how much you ate this holiday, instead think of all that your body has done for you and will continue to do for you until your last day on earth. Remember that your body is meant for you, just the way it is, and remember that you are your body just as you are your mind, emotions, and spirit.
This episode gets down and dirty with the down and dirty areas that we love (or love to smell).
What about your partner smells good to you? Their sweat, or crotch, or neither?
Join me as I discuss the reality with sweat and the various reasons why we smell. What do you think about your own body odors… Which are good, which are bad, and which are just stinky?
