When talking with a woman the other day, the idea of “having sex” versus “making love” came up. To her, making love was a bit of a daunting task, and this got me thinking about the ways in which we feel turned on and how our sexual situations reflect this.

So, I thought about my two key turned-on-ness (copyright pending) feelings: being raunchily turned on and cozily turned on… One is accompanied with hot, sticky, animalistic “sex” and the other is paired best with slow, emotionally and spiritually connected “lovemaking.”

But what are these turned-on moods, anyway? Just manifestations of our feelings for another, both in a physical and emotional sense.
